Living Cyclically: A Path to Restoring Energy and Balance

In a previous post, I shared thoughts on Cyclical Living in Motherhood, exploring how tuning into our natural cycles can help us navigate the demands of daily life with more ease and grace. Today, I want to delve deeper into how living cyclically can be a powerful way to restore energy, balance, and a sense of flow—not just in motherhood, but in every aspect of our lives.

Our bodies, much like nature, are designed to move in rhythms. The changing seasons, the waxing and waning of the moon, and the ebb and flow of the day all reflect cycles of growth, rest, and renewal. Yet, so often, we find ourselves caught in a constant state of “doing,” ignoring our body’s cues to slow down and restore.

Living cyclically means recognising and honouring these natural rhythms. When we push through exhaustion, we risk burning out and depleting our reserves. But when we embrace the flow of these cycles, we create space for deeper rest, greater energy, and more sustainable wellbeing.

What Does Living Cyclically Look Like?

It can be as simple as paying attention to how your energy shifts throughout the day or week. Perhaps you notice an afternoon lull or feel the need for more stillness as your menstrual cycle approaches. Instead of powering through, you could listen to those cues, allowing yourself a moment of pause.

By acknowledging these natural ebbs and flows, you restore balance in your body and mind, creating a more aligned and nourishing way of living. This isn’t about adding more to your schedule—it’s about finding harmony in what you’re already doing, creating space for rest as much as for productivity.

Small Shifts, Lasting Change

Sometimes, the most significant transformations begin with a small, focused shift. In fact, starting with one area of your life can have a ripple effect, bringing change to others. Whether it’s reclaiming your energy, improving your sleep, transforming your habits, or building a movement routine, one intentional step can create a foundation for holistic wellbeing.

This is why I offer 1:1 mini health coaching sessions, where we can work together on one specific goal:

  1. Reclaim your energy: Find consistent energy throughout the day.

  2. Sleep and rest well: Improve your sleep quality and learn when and how to rest.

  3. Transform your habits: Develop the habits that shape the future you envision.

  4. Build a movement routine: Reconnect with your body in a way that feels good to you.

Through follow-ups and accountability check-ins, I’ll be there to support you in making these changes sustainable. Sometimes, all it takes is a small shift in focus to ignite a transformation across your whole life.

If you’re ready to embrace a more cyclical approach to your wellbeing, why not start with one area and see how it ripples through the rest?
